    What does the assessment include?

    It includes your past surgical history and the surgical clinical examination.

    It includes: blood tests, gastroscopy, bone density scan, ultrasound liver elastography, body composition/ body fat percentage, measurement of physical activity and measurement of specific hormones after two stimulation tests.

    Hypoglycemic symptoms, food frequency, food tolerance, eating patterns, psychological distress, diabetes-related symptoms, self-reported physical activity, diabetes treatment satisfaction, binge eating severity.

    Surgical procedure

    When is it conducted?

    The day of surgery is considered as the day 0.

    Either gastric bypass plus vagotomy or gastric bypass alone.

    Postoperative monitoring

    What is included?

    Hospital postoperative medical and nursing care. Adjustment of the needs for your antidiabetic medications

    For how many days?

    For 2-3 days.
